Easter Monday 2013 – The day after

Despite the weather forecast, Easter Monday 2013 was marked by a beautiful sunny day which repaid our organizational efforts as Cerrano guides and the many people who took part to our initiative “Easter with the Cerrano guides”.
The Filiani park, with its animal and plant species of undeniable value, the coastal pine grove and dunes, lush against the clear blue sky and sea, were the natural backdrop of the green walk that, starting at 9:00 a.m., led Guides and visitors to the Cerrano Tower. Indescribable, for those who experienced it, the feeling of coming out from the refreshing shade of the pine grove to the blinding warm embrace of the botanical garden, with the mirage of the sixteenth-century fortress standing out in the blue sky. Some dune plants, which were still wrapped in their winter dress on our arrival, showed their freshly bloomed flowers on the way back and explained us, in the language of nature, the meaning of Easter celebrations: the triumph of life over death revealed by the resurrection of Christ. Yesterday’s guided tour was a unique experience for us guides and, we hope, for the many tourists who were with us!
