The territory of Cerrano, in its indissoluble whole of landscape, nature, history, art and architecture, is a great cultural value to know, protect and improve. With this blog we want to show our attachment to a land that we love, and also a living testimony to sensitivity, knowledge, ideas and competence.
Our commitment is a contribution to make all men more aware of the exceptional natural and cultural heritage that surrounds us. In fact, the most difficult task to achieve in our community is the full awareness of the true potential of our territory, which is related first of all to a real knowledge of its nature and history. We would like to stir up the people who live in this land and those who look at it from a distance with admiration to pay more attention not only to certain important issues, but also to things that at first sight seem trivial, but often are the true wealth that we are looking for, though we normally ignore and slowly bring them to oblivion without being aware of their potential.
“Noi Cerrano” wants to be an open window on material and immaterial wealth that characterizes an area where there is still much to discover: so we will also try to join together and collect some elements useful to a “science” of knowledge.
We wish that “Cerrano” would be not only a physical place, but also an ideal place in which you could find common thoughts and relationships.
The title “Noi Cerrano” does not want to be a mere and brutal indication and parochial claim of belonging. “Noi” (we) means that this beautiful land, as well as other parts of the Italian territory and the whole world, belongs to all mankind and is one of the best expressions of the relation between man and environment: for that reason it should be done whatever possible to protect and improve it in the best way.
We, people of Cerrano, want to be proud to live in this area rich in nature and history, to rediscover it and talk about it.
We could create with Cerrano an example of sharing ideas, projects and a unified vision of the territory.
We would like to rise for Cerrano a cultural and environmental awareness in a truly-sustainable future.
