Botanical orienteering in Cerrano Tower

 

On 18 April 2013, as part of the environmental education programme of the Marine Protected Area Torre del Cerrano for the current year, the first botanical orienteering game was held in the botanical garden of Cerrano Tower by Professor Antonio Antonucci of the University of Padua and the Cerrano Guides Mario Cipollone and Alberto Miccadei. The game involved two classes of the elementary schools of Villa Raspa of Spoltore. Winners of the game are Chiara Di Marcantonio and Jasmin Checchin, who finished the game with a time of 5’10”.

Other participants are anche Alessandro Zampacorta, Emanuele Di Blasio, Filippo Correnzini, Enrico Di Vittorio, Beatrice Giardinelli, Giulia Perfetti, Denise Livrieri, Roberta Pesce, Gaia Ballone, Alessandro Maggiore, Simone Carpegni, Osia Barbetta, Lorenzo Pagliariccia, Lorenzo Di Giampietro, Maria Beatrici, Martina Mancini, Sofia Romano, Manuel D’Emidio, Lorenzo De Camillis, Riccardo Silveri, Alessandro Pompeo, Tiberia Rossi Nicoletta, Delfina Damiano, Matteo D’Alò, Davide Burilaco, Danila Degenis e Alice Di Profio, Alessio Infante, Francesco Burrani, Raffaele Russi e Martina Ripoli.

The botanical orienteering is a game that aims at teaching plants and nature to school girls and boys (but also to ADULTS). Today this educational and recreational goal was accomplished throughout, as these photos prove!

Botanical Orienteering returns on May 31 with 50 participants of the middle school of Roseto degli Abruzzi.
